If both of your parents are unabashed Apple fans, there’s every chance that you’ll grow up as a Cupertino addict as well.

The word sincere has its roots in the two Latin words sine (without) and cere (wax). One explanation for its origin comes from the days of the Roman Republic. It’s said that unscrupulous bricklayers would sometimes cut corners and instead of using expensive cement, they would use wax to hold the bricks of a building in place. Of course when the cement was replaced with wax the integrity of the structure would be compromised.

There was something so right about Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose as a couple. When the two first appeared on MTV’s “RapFix Live” back in 2011, we rooted for their love story and have been cheering every step of the way.

Nowadays — if popular music is to be believed — we’re currently “all about that bass”. Prominent posteriors are everywhere on the Billboard charts — Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” ode to big butts, Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” curvy girl “bringing the booty back” anthem, and, of course, Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea’s “Booty” celebration. (Not to mention Beyonce’s always-revered rear.)

Planes have been delayed; healthcare workers in Spain have walked out; airplane cleaners at New York’s La Guardia Airport have gone on strike; and the among many fear-inducing headlines, some have advertised CDC director Thomas Frieden’s likening Ebola to the next AIDS. What’s more, many Americans apparently believe that grounding flights from West Africa is prudent.

What a difference a month makes.
In September, it appeared certain that incumbent president of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, would struggle in a second round run-off vote with Marina Silva, a petite firebrand and one of the former stars of Dilma’s Workers’ Party.  While this election is likely to go to a second round run-off, and possibly pitting Marina vs Dilma in an ex-Workers’ Party vs Workers’ Party bid for the presidency, Dilma has some power in her corner now.
