Bendgate is back. A new website is spotlighting the malleability of Apple’s new super-slim smartphone by posting hundreds of pictures of bent iPhone 6 and 6 Plus units.
More than 350 images of deformed Apple phones have been posted by grassroots site One of the Nine, and the submissions keep on coming despite Apple’s claim that a bend in the iPhone 6 is “extremely rare” with normal use.

Bendgate — the latest in a long line of overblown controversies about new Apple products — erupted shortly after the iPhone 6 launch in September. It quickly blew over after Apple let journalists into its iPhone torture chamber and released a statement refuting claims that the iPhone 6 was bending in users’ pockets.
At the time, Apple said just nine units had been reported as bent.
The anonymous founder of One of the Nine has reportedly received death threats from Apple fanboys, but insists he created his website as a tongue-in-cheek way to find the original nine people reporting bent iPhone 6s. Cult of Mac asked Apple for info on how many customers have reported bending problems with either iPhone 6 or 6 Plus models, but haven’t received a comment.
While even 300 defective units is a microscopic drop in the bucket compared to the 10 million iPhone 6 units Apple sold in its first three days, some owners might not have reported the problem or even noticed it yet.
In a recent blog post, One of the Nine’s operators says they are not anti-Apple, but want to raise awareness of the ongoing problem.
“We are raising awareness of the issue to get Apple to take responsibility for the problems. Currently they are rejecting most customers who complain about a bent phone and calling them liars when they state that it happened through carrying it normally in their pockets.”
The website operators even made a video showing what 300 bent iPhones looks like (see below).
If you’re one of the “lucky” nine with a bent certifiably bent iPhone you can submit your pics here — and make sure to tell us about your sad experience in the comments.
