Michael Malinin was apparently fired by the Goo Goo Dolls because he wanted to be with his wife when she gave birth to their twins.
Now, almost a year after his dismissal, Malinin has filed a lawsuit against the group's singer Johnny Rzeznik and bassist Robert Takac, TMZ is reporting.
Malinin was on tour with the American alternative rock band late last year when his wife Krista was about to go into labor, according to the news site.

The rocker claimed in his lawsuit that his paternity leave had been planned in advance and that Rzeznik and Takac knew about it.
