Paul Akister would do anything... He was not happy about performing Meatloaf's Like A Bat Out Of Hell on Saturday night's X Factor live show
In the VT shown before his performance, Mel was shown saying that he had been complaining about everything.
From his song choice, to the dance moves, Paul was not happy.
He finally said, 'I'll just have to trust in Mel.'
X-cellent vocals! Despite being enthused by the song choice, Paul gave a great performance
He went on to perform the song well with both stage presence and a great vocal and while the judges agreed that Mel had made a good choice, Simon told him, 'I think you've go to lighten up and start enjoying what you're doing.'
The head judge reminded him of the hundreds of thousands of people who would kill to be in his position.
When speaking to Dermot O'Leary he told him he felt Simon's comments were 'unfair'.

As Simon stood by his comments, Dermot asked, 'happy with that?' Referring to Simon's response.
Paul said, 'Yep, I'm very happy with my performance.'

While Paul may have gotten on the wrong side of Simon Cowell, it was up to the public to decide who was through to face yet another elimination tomorrow.
The second of Mel B's northern lads to leave the competition in as many weeks, Jack Walton, was revealed as having the lowest number of public votes.
Singing Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis, he ditched the guitar and donned a frilly shirt and, in his own words, 'bloomin' heels'.
Sadly for Jack the risk didn't pay off.
