Larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 to be called iPhone 6L?

According to Taiwanese Apple blog Apple Daily, its "reliable sources" claim that the company's iPhone 6 phablet will carry a different name.

Based on obtained components and spec details, the purported handset will be called the iPhone 6L.
This is the first we've heard this one so don't take it as concrete evidence, although Apple is likely looking for a way to market its 5.5-inch iPhone 6 seperate from the smaller 4.7-inch version.
The Chinese website also reportedly managed to get its hands on both versions of the upcoming handset, claiming that the 5.5-inch variant will have a larger 2915mAh battery whilst the 4.7-inch one will pack a 1810mAh cell.
Naturally we'd expect a larger battery to power the larger display, so there's no real surprise there.
Although whether that means the phablet will carry a longer battery life, we'll just have to wait and see.
The iPhone 6 is also going to arrive with the new A8 chip, running at frequency of 2.0GHz per core - by comparison the current A7 chip in the iPhone 5s runs at 1.3GHz.
Apple is widely expected to announce the iPhone 6 at a media event on September 9.
