New Twitter logoTWITTER IS APPARENTLY THE best place to work in the US, at least according to a report from a US employment company.

Glassdoor, for that is the source, has put a number of companies under a feedback spotlight and found that for the most part technology companies keep the happy staff.
Technology companies are also most likely to be stuffed with white males, but at least they are mostly happy chaps. For the purposes of the survey firms and contentment are ranked from one, for very dissatisfied, to five, which is very satisfied. Twitter workers, or Twitts as they are called, are very happy and could only begrudge their employer half a point.
"Company culture is one of the top five most important factors job seekers consider before accepting a new job, according to a Glassdoor survey," the firm said in a blog post. "Based entirely on US employee feedback shared over the past 12 months, Twitter takes the top spot with a 4.5 culture [and] values rating."
In second place is the PR company Edelman, and we suspect that it has a spin to put on that position. Third is Google, fourth is Riverbed and fifth is Facebook.
Twitter is ranked at the top because of the amount of gushing that its workers did about it.
"The best place I have ever worked," said one respondent. "Great food, you gain 20 pounds," added another.
Twitter staffers would recommend the company as a good place to work to their friends, while over 90 percent give CEO Dick Costolo their approval.
There are some downsides associated with working at Twitter, however, and where people were not entirely happy with their place under the blue bird's wings they complained of disconnects between offices and not enough consistency at the top
