Andy Murray’s recent odyssey around China and Europe was finally rewarded today when he finally booked his place in next month’s Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
The 27 year-old Scot took matters into his own hands by hammering Grigor Dimitrov 6-3 6-3 in 68 minutes to make the last eight of the Paris Masters and render any mathematical calculations irrelevant.
Three more places are yet to be decided but, in the absence of Rafael Nadal, Murray is the fifth official qualifier after being in twelfth position in the ‘Race For London’ after the U.S Open.

A late surge in the season has seen him win 20 ATP matches in 36 days across six tournaments so far, and now he faces either Novak Djokovic or Gael Monfils tomorrow to try and keep the run going.
