But Saturday night’s live show saw Mel B offer an apology to the talented contestant as she praised the singer for a great performance.

Before Fleur took to the stage to perform Labelle’s hit track, Lady Marmalade, a pre-performance video saw her reveal her feelings about the Spice Girl’s accusation.

She said: ‘Last week, Mel’s comment was upsetting. Cheating? That’s the worst thing I could’ve heard. I worked extra hard last week.’

Her mentor Simon then said: ‘I don’t like someone accusing of a contestant of cheating.’
